The 23rd Woodstock Film Festival Lineup is Here!

It’s that time of year and the excitement is building! This year’s Woodstock Film Festival lineup has been announced and tickets are now on sale. As always, there are many great films and events to choose from–so start your research, pick out the films you want to see, and get your tickets (they do sell out fast.)

The 23rd Annual Woodstock Film Festival takes place in Kingston, Woodstock, Rosendale, and Saugerties, and you can stream online.

 

The 23rd Annual Maverick Awards Ceremony takes place, Saturday, October 1
at Ulster Performing Arts Center. Honorees include:

Honorary Maverick Award | ETHAN HAWKE

The Woodstock Film Festival Maverick Award takes its name from the original Woodstock Arts Colony of the early 1900s, which valued independence and social responsibility expressed through the arts. Amanda Seyfried will present the award to Ethan Hawke. Amanda starred opposite Ethan Hawke in First Reformed.

MAV-ER-ICK, adj.
1. Being independent in thought and action or exhibiting such independence.
2. One who refuses to abide by the dictate of a group.

Transcendent Talent Award | AWKWAFINA

Presented to a creative who breaks through the boundaries of their artistic field, be it in acting, writing, directing, or more.

Honorary Trailblazer Award | Arianna Bocco

This award is given to a leader in the film and media arts industry who has carved innovative paths for all to follow, establishing an independent vision, and creating a strong and widespread appreciation for quality, substantive filmmaking.

Honorary Fiercely Independent Award | Debra Granik

This award is given to a singular filmmaker whose unique vision has furthered the field of independent filmmaking by following their own path, serving as a role model for other filmmakers, and advancing the highest quality of independent filmmaking.
