DESCRIPTION:A new free series at The Local curated by Mike Amari/Chosen Family in partnership with Wave Farm’s WGXC featuring Hudson Valley artists performing original music.\n\n\n\nWill Stratton is a songwriter\, composer and guitarist living in New York’s Hudson Valley. He has released eight albums to positive reviews from Alexis Petridis (The Guardian)\, Sir Elton John\, Pitchfork\, Aquarium Drunkard\, MOJO\, and Uncut\, among others. He occasionally mixes and produces music at Roxaboxen Recording\, the project studio he co-owns with Martin Courtney in Beacon\, NY\, and he has written about music and recording for Tape Op and Brooklyn Magazine. \nMeg Lui is a Northern California–born singer-songwriter based in New York’s Hudson Valley since 2015. In her music\, vivid lyrics and poignant melodies intertwine with a voice that feels both intimate and lasting. Through reflections on love\, resilience\, and the human experience\, she offers listeners a window into her world. \nMeg has released music under the names M. Lui\, Grover\, and as part of the trio Ember Isles. During her Brooklyn years\, she co-wrote and starred in the rock opera Smile Swamp Princess.
