DESCRIPTION:Gerry Leonard is a Dublin born guitar player\, songwriter and producer and musical director\, now based in New York. His distinctive ambient style has led him to work with such renowned musical artists as David Bowie\, Laurie Anderson\, Roger Waters\, Duncan Sheik\, Suzanne Vega and Rufus Wainwright. \nGerry was a guitarist and musical director for David Bowie from 2003 to 2010\, including the Reality world tour and DVD in 2003-2004. He played on Bowie albums Heathen and Reality\, and co-wrote “The Boss Of Me” and “I’ll Take You There”\, on Bowie’s penultimate comeback album\, The Next Day\, in 2013. He’s currently collaborating with Suzanne Vega as her guitarist\, musical director\, and producer\, roles he also filled on her album Flying with Angels\, released in May 2025. \nHis movie contributions include the original soundtrack for Janey Pictures’ TWIG (2024) and 32A (2008).  He also played on Roger Waters’ end title song “Hello” in The Last Mimsy\, and on the soundtrack for Zoolander 2.
