SUMMARY:Shakedown Citi
DESCRIPTION:Shakedown Citi is a fresh new force on the jam band scene\, born in the heart of a Grateful Dead parking lot at Citi Field in 2023. When the band’s members crossed paths on Shakedown Street\, something clicked – and the music hasn’t stopped since. \nRather than imitating the Dead\, Shakedown Citi channels their spirit – creating spontaneous\, soulful performances that feel alive\, adventurous and totally in the moment. Each set is a journey\, full of unexpected twists\, deep grooves and musical conversation that pulls even the most skeptical listener into the vibe. Every Shakedown Citi show begins long before the first note. Each setlist is thoughtfully and meticulously crafted from the Dead repertoire\, affiliated catalogs and beyond\, balancing deep cuts and beloved anthems\, rarities and reprises. No two nights are ever the same – each performance stands as a work of art on its own\, alive in its moment\, while also fitting into the larger patchwork of the repertoire. \nIt’s not just a tribute – it’s the Dead\, reborn.

SUMMARY:The Hill: Stories From Spoon River
DESCRIPTION:The residents of Spoon River are dead… but they still have a few things they’d like to say. \nBased on the poetic classic Spoon River Anthology by Edgar Lee Masters\, The Hill – Stories from Spoon River invites audiences to witness the collective epitaph of a small town; its triumphs and tragedies\, its secrets and sins. Follow the wandering minstrel known as Fiddler Jones on a lantern lit journey through the necropolis to meet the ghosts of Spoon River\, each of whom has a story to tell. \nAn Unparalleled In Situ Experience\nGuided by Fiddler Jones\, audiences will once again journey by lantern light through the winding paths of the necropolis to hear the dead speak for themselves. The performance is staged in situ\, using the natural\, atmospheric beauty of the cemetery as a living set.\n“There is something profoundly moving about hearing these epitaphs—which range from hilarious to deeply tragic—while standing among the headstones\,” says Noelle. “The synergy between Masters’ words and the beauty of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery creates a truly magical experience.” \nNote: This is NOT a seated event; the group will be walking or standing for the duration of the show. The route does include hills. Please consider your own abilities before purchasing tickets. Feel free to call the office to discuss any specific concerns. \nPerformance Details\n Dates: June 5\, 6\, 12\, and 13\n Rain Dates: Sunday\, June 7 and Sunday\, June 14\n All shows begin at 8:30 PM. Cemetery gates open to ticket holders at 8:00 PM.\n Run Time: 80 minutes\, no intermission \nPlease consider personal physical abilities before purchasing. Due to the nature of the content and the nighttime setting\, the show is not recommended for children under 10.

SUMMARY:mekons
DESCRIPTION:Sonic adventurers\, punk rock fundamentalists\, exuberant luddites\, willing outcasts. \n“The mekons are the most revolutionary group in the history of rock ‘n’ roll” – wrote rock critic Lester Bangs \nThe genre-defying mekons formed in Leeds\, England in 1977. Born from the emerging British punk scene\, they progressed from art students with no musical skills to the prolific\, raucous progeny of Hank Williams. This current classic line-up has remained intact since the mid-1980s\, continuing to regularly tour and release new music through to now. Theirs is an improbable history – a surprising and influential embrace of folk and country music with occasional forays into the art world. They have always worked collaboratively and collectively with all work credited to the band\, never to individuals. Their mind-boggling output consistently blurs the lines between high art and low and has included exhibitions in the UK and US\, a deranged pirate musical recorded and staged with Kathy Acker\, an art performance with Vito Acconci\, and several books including the unique art catalog/unfinished novel Mekons United. “Revenge of the mekons”\, a documentary about the band received nationwide release in 2015 on Music Box Films. The mekons continue to make bold\, unpredictable music while staying true to the punk ethos. Their mind-boggling output consistently blurs the lines between high art and low and they remain one of the truly great live bands. \nThe band released their latest album “Horror” on Fire Records in early 2025. A dub album of Horror remixed by Grammy nominee Tony Maimone (Pere Ubu) will be released on Fire Records in the summer of 2026.

SUMMARY:Grahame Lesh & Daniel Donato
DESCRIPTION:There are a lot of musical influences and sources that Daniel Donato has drawn on during his career and that inform his latest album\, Horizon (Retrace Music)\, his second all-original album. But within those\, Donato has carved out a unique and individualized spot for himself\, one that speaks to the deep American music heritage that inspires him — and that he’s pushing towards the future with inspired\, intentional vigor. \nHe calls it Cosmic Country\, a moniker that’s both self-descriptive and a statement of purpose. It’s an organic rock band aesthetic with plenty of roadhouse twang; a showcase for Donato’s instrumental virtuosity and facility for melodically infectious songcraft. Bridging Nashville and the Great West\, Kentucky and mid-60s northern California\, tie-dye and plaid\, it’s a world of his own\, and a wide world of musical adventure at that.
