SUMMARY:SPOT ON: AKA SEE SPOT RUN
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to present SPOT ON: AKA SEE SPOT RUN\, an exhibition with work by five artists. The show runs from February 7 – March 8th\, 2026 \nOpening Reception: \nIn The Main Gallery \nSharon Butler\, Jason Travers and Kieran Kinsella   \nIn the Front Gallery \nMurray Hochman and Eileen Power. \n \nSPOT ON: AKA SEE SPOT RUN \nSHARON BUTLER uses process as metaphor\, creating paintings that document lived experience. As Washington Post critic Michael Sullivan notes\, her “sketchy\, thinly painted washes hover between representation and abstraction.” Thomas Micchelli observes that her work echoes Rauschenberg in its dissolution of boundaries between painting and sculpture\, with canvases often loosely stapled to exposed stretcher bars. \nJASON TRAVERS began as a plein air painter\, studying light and color directly from nature\, and continues to draw from its organic processes. While literal references have faded\, his work seeks deeper cycles—patterns\, entropy\, and slow transformation—suggested through color and mark-making. Seemingly simple at first glance\, the paintings are meant to unfold gradually into sensory experience. \nKIERAN KINSELLA is a Hudson Valley–based sculptor and furniture maker who works almost exclusively with locally sourced and salvaged “rescue wood.” Repurposing discarded material is\, for him\, an homage to nature and a quiet resistance to conventional notions of artistic scale and success. Each piece reflects his preference for solitary\, hands-on labor and deep material intimacy.

SUMMARY:Pete Francis with Morrissey BLVD
DESCRIPTION:Pete Francis is a singer\, songwriter\, and multi-instrumentalist known for blending eclectic genres and collaborating across the musical spectrum. Initially one-third of the legendary New England indie band Dispatch\, Pete and the group sold over 700\,000 albums and achieved monumental live success\, including five sell-outs at Madison Square Garden and a record-breaking 100\,000-person crowd at Boston’s Hatch Shell. During Dispatch’s near decade-long hiatus\, Pete launched a solo career in 2001\, releasing seven albums through his Dragon Crest Collective label and establishing himself as an emotive and dynamic artist.\nFollowing Dispatch’s reunion in 2011\, Pete balanced solo projects with his band role. In 2019\, he left Dispatch to fully embrace his solo career. His 2023 album PTRN SKY! marked a major shift as his first self-recorded and self-produced effort. The album blends vibrant electronic beats with his signature style and was recorded in his home studio alongside Grammy-winning producer Scott Jacoby. Since then\, he’s released several home-recorded singles and EPs\, including Neon Light Blind\, the self-titled Pete Francis EP\, and Hurricane Candle\, a heartfelt tribute to his late father. \nAs of 2025\, Pete is gearing up for new releases\, including remixes of his Summer 2024 hit Smile\, featuring G. Love and Demarco\, and an upcoming album with producer Mikey Bar-Lavi. He’s also regularly performing at iconic New York and New England venues\, where he continues to connect with both longtime fans and new listeners.

SUMMARY:J.C. Hopkins with Maia Jarrett
DESCRIPTION:J.C. Hopkins – Record Release Show\nin the Bearsville Theater Lounge\nwith Maia Jarrett \nJ.C. Hopkins’ long-awaited album It’s a Sad and Beautiful World is out now. The album is a rare and historic collaboration with two legendary members of The Band — Levon Helm and Garth Hudson.\nThe story of It’s a Sad and Beautiful World stretches back to the early 2000s\, when Norah Jones was singing regularly with Hopkins’ band\, the J.C. Hopkins Biggish Band. Around that time she signed her record deal\, recorded their co-write “Painter’s Song”\, and later duetted with Willie Nelson on Hopkins’ song “Dreams Come True.” While Norah’s first record was taking off\, Hopkins was recording this album at the same studio\, with friends Martha Wainwright\, Teddy Thompson\, and some of New York’s finest jazz musicians. Martha introduced him to Garth Hudson\, and soon after Levon Helm agreed to play on a track. Levon loved the music so much he ended up recording drums on six songs. Though the album never saw the light of day back then\, at long last\, it is finally being released. \n“This project means the world to me\,” says Hopkins. “To make music with Levon and Garth — artists whose songs shaped generations — was not only an honor but a reminder of why we play in the first place: to connect\, to celebrate\, and to keep the flame alive.” \nIt’s a Sad and Beautiful World highlights Hudson’s visionary keyboard textures and Helm’s unmistakable drumming\, woven into Hopkins’ lush arrangements and storytelling. The result is a record that resonates with resilience\, joy\, and reflection — a timeless document of artists in full command of their craft.

SUMMARY:Florist Performs 'The Birds Outside Sang' & 'Holdly' w/ Hello Shark
DESCRIPTION:Florist began in the Catskill Mountains as the friendship project of Emily Sprague\, Rick Spataro\, and Jonnie Baker\, later joined by Felix Walworth. Holdly (2015) and The Birds Outside Sang (2016) captured the earliest moments of that bond; hushed\, homespun songs shaped equally by intimacy and resilience. The latter was written in the aftermath of Sprague’s near-fatal bike accident\, beginning in solitude and concluding with the band’s return to each other\, offering a portrait of healing\, community\, and the power of sound shared among friends. These recordings became cornerstones of Florist’s world: quiet yet expansive\, deeply personal yet instantly connective. \nIn the years since\, Florist has carried those themes forward across four more full-lengths. If Blue Could Be Happiness (2017) offered a meditation on grief and memory\, while Emily Alone (2019) distilled Sprague’s voice into stark\, solitary reflections before the band reunited for the expansive\, self-titled Florist (2022)\, a culmination of their collaborative spirit. Most recently\, Jellywish (2025) found the quartet embracing surrealism and possibility\, holding both the magic and weight of existence at once. A decade on\, the reissue of Holdly and The Birds Outside Sang highlights the origins of that journey\, preserving the tenderness and friendship at Florist’s core while tracing the roots of a band that continues to evolve with wonder and care. \nHello Shark is the musical project of Linc Halloran (born August 31\, 1988)\, a Kittery\, Maine based singer-songwriter. Since 2006\, Halloran has released a handful of albums and EPs including Break Arms (2010)\, H.S (2012)\, and the critically acclaimed Delicate (2016). Hello Shark features a rotating cast of musicians on releases and live performances\, and has consistently toured North America since the band’s formation.
