The program will also explore the challenges owls face\, including habitat loss\, and discuss ways individuals and communities can help protect the forests and natural spaces that wildlife depend on. \nWildlife rehabilitator Genevieve Salerno will share insights from her years of experience caring for injured and orphaned wildlife\, offering a deeper understanding of owl conservation and the importance of habitat preservation. With more than 15 years of experience in wildlife rehabilitation and 7 years as a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)\, Genevieve is also an instructor in the Veterinary Science Department at SUNY Delhi. SUMMARY:Danish String Quartet
DESCRIPTION:The Danish String Quartet made its debut at the Copenhagen Summer Festival in 2002. The group is known for its performances of classical music as well as its own renditions of traditional Nordic folk music. The quartet has also worked with an extensive range of contemporary Scandinavian composers. \nSince 2007\, the ensemble has curated its own annual event\, the DSQ Festival\, in Copenhagen. In 2016\, they launched Series of Four\, their concert series held in the concert hall of the Royal Danish Academy of Music. In 2013\, the quartet began a three-year appointment as members of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center’s CMS Two Program. They were named a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist ensemble for 2013–15\, and Musical America named them Ensemble of the Year in 2019. DESCRIPTION:Legendary drummer\, pianist\, composer\, arranger\, band leader and educator Jack DeJohnette passed away last October 26\, 2025. This celebration of Jack’s life and work will be held on his birth date\, August 9\, at UPAC in Kingston. Artists scheduled to perform and/or speak include Don Byron\, Michael Cain\, Will Calhoun\, Terri Lyne Carrington\, Billy Childs\, Denardo Coleman\, David Gilmore\, John Medeski\, Steve Coleman\, George Colligan\, Ravi Coltrane\, Esperanza Spalding and many more. All artists subject to change. This concert will benefit Family of Woodstock & The Table at Woodstock.
