L’Impatience
The early days of L’Impatience consisted of a makeshift “studio” in Jerome and Benedicte Leclere’s Brooklyn apartment where they had installed a potter’s wheel and a couple of shelves. They would then have to transport their raw pieces to a local ceramics studio for firing, anxiously hoping with each trip that none of their beautifully crafted pieces would break en route. Unfortunately, usually due to their eagerness to speed the process and view the end results, they did break a few… which is how the name “L’Impatience” was born.
Today, the husband and wife’s graceful pieces are all handmade in their Kingston studio, where they serve as invitations to rediscover life’s simple things, celebrate their little moments and share them with others.
