PISCES ENERGY REPORT: Embodying Love in daily practice

Pisces Season, the season of love, beauty and feeling. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, and it carries a little bit of energy from all the other signs with it. In its highest expression, Pisces is an embodiment of compassion because compassion requires understanding. We all have Pisces somewhere in our charts, and a birth chart reading can help you understand how this energy supports your growth and expansion. For all of us, Pisces season marks the end of the energy year, it’s a time of creative gestation and emotional processing before we spring forward with the ignition of Aries Season!

2/18 SUN ENTERS PISCES

The Sun in astrology represents identity, during its 4-week stint in Pisces we collectively identify sympathetically and sensitively. We feel more vulnerable under this transit and can work towards an appreciation for intimacy as a result. As we feel more emotional we can be more prone to addiction, lashing out or bad boundaries at this time. It is common to try to escape painful realities rather than face life directly. However, now is the time for clarity in the chaos. We must overcome our need for escape and blame, and see that nothing is ever stopping us from being the most loving beings we can be, except our not choosing it.

This season marks a time to slow down and take stock of how our emotional states motivate our actions and reactions. There is an invitation here, to understand what is really going on inside and to do what needs to be done to feel love within.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but do the therapy! See the practitioner! Get the support! We also may feel called to rectify the karma of the past, to honor ourselves with daily self-care rituals that help us to feel a spiritual connection, and above all to offer up our compassion to the collective, rather than our judgment.

2/19 VENUS ENTERS ARIES + NEW MOON IN PISCES

New Moons begin a new emotional cycle – this one sets us up to close the energetic cycle that began at this time last year. It may feel very emotional indeed! Take stock of where you’ve come over the last 11 months, honor your personal wins and successes. This is a great time to focus on healing through creative outlets, as they can give you greater access to emotional expression. Our dreams are also highlighted during Pisces season and maybe a vivid place of intuitive information. Pay attention to the repeat messages coming through… especially those red flags you may be treating as pretty decorations rather than the warning signs that they are! If you are looking for clarity, know that flashes of insight can come more easily through meditation and self-care practice.

Venus represents themes to do with how we love and want to be loved and what we value. When Venus is in Aries, we are a warrior for our own needs and can more easily put boundaries in place, where necessary. The courage and passion to start or finish something big are on the agenda around this date. As we leave the energy of Venus in Pisces the day before this transit, beware of falling into the trap of pessimism and victimization. Develop gratitude for the lessons you’ve experienced on the path to self and romantic love, those wonderful teachers! It doesn’t matter if you don’t like them! Sometimes the worst teachers provide the best motivation for us to evolve. Be grateful for the love you’ve shared for an hour, a day, a week or a year. That love is and always will be yours.

3/2 MERCURY ENTERS PISCES

Mercury themes are related to how we think and how we speak. Mercury in Pisces is great for our imagination, for compassionate thought and especially for artistic endeavors like music and poetry. If you are planning on writing poetry, recording an album or some such, go for it! This is an emotional placement for our thoughts and inner perceptions, getting grounded and facilitating ways to stay present and in the body will be helpful. Try not to get lost in illusions and delusions, especially those that hold us outside of our unconditional worthiness. Very little of what we think and feel is actually based in reality and fact, wisdom at this time will be having the courage to know truth from fiction. Pisces feels a lot, so at times, we may feel overwhelmed with emotion. What are your healthy coping mechanisms? Have them at the ready, and if you don’t know what they are, cultivate them with the help of a teacher or supportive friend.

3/7 SATURN ENTERS PISCES + FULL MOON IN VIRGO

On March 7th, Saturn is entering Pisces for the first time since 1994-1996. Saturn is a sobering force, its lessons are around maturing, and acknowledging our duties and responsibilities. In Pisces, we have a responsibility to our spiritual selves, our connection to nature + the universe, and we are here to honor and revere our creative capabilities in ways that spread compassion and unconditional love. Difficulties will arise where we are unwilling to open our hearts over the next couple of years!

The moon, full in Virgo, speaks to our sense of duty and service, not to mention all things health, healing and hygiene. How do we serve? Who do we serve? Are we really taking very good care of ourselves? Disparities in how we give and take will be highlighted during this transit. It is not our responsibility to take care of others to our own detriment. It helps no one when you exhaust your own mental, emotional and physical health for others. Plus, are you actually enabling others to not care for themselves by unconsciously being their savior? Conversely, do you take and pull on others without giving back? What is the exchange that is necessary to bring your life into balance? Lastly – what are the self-care rituals that help you to feel your most loving and best self? All themes this Full Moon will task us with.

Sometimes, we are so focused on results, that we don’t pay attention to how progress is already manifesting in our lives. You can get lost striving, you can lose sight of what real happiness and peace are based on. The earthy and practical Virgo full moon amongst the waters of Pisces is here to remind us to get our boots on the ground and take a step-by-step approach. This is a positive full moon, it is about reaping rewards from acts of service, discipline and discernment.

Friends, Pisces is a dreamer, and she dreams of a connected and loving world. We are here to help make that dream a reality. We all deserve love and are worthy of receiving it unconditionally. We must also learn to give it freely from conditions, too. That’s where the difficulty lies. You can do it! Compassion begets happiness. Try to stay optimistic if you feel stuck in some winter dreariness, spring is right around the corner. Get the support and encouragement you deserve and need and know that this season/feeling/moment will eventually pass and give way to new growth!
