SUMMARY:Shakedown Citi
DESCRIPTION:Shakedown Citi is a fresh new force on the jam band scene\, born in the heart of a Grateful Dead parking lot at Citi Field in 2023. When the band’s members crossed paths on Shakedown Street\, something clicked – and the music hasn’t stopped since. \nRather than imitating the Dead\, Shakedown Citi channels their spirit – creating spontaneous\, soulful performances that feel alive\, adventurous and totally in the moment. Each set is a journey\, full of unexpected twists\, deep grooves and musical conversation that pulls even the most skeptical listener into the vibe. Every Shakedown Citi show begins long before the first note. Each setlist is thoughtfully and meticulously crafted from the Dead repertoire\, affiliated catalogs and beyond\, balancing deep cuts and beloved anthems\, rarities and reprises. No two nights are ever the same – each performance stands as a work of art on its own\, alive in its moment\, while also fitting into the larger patchwork of the repertoire. \nIt’s not just a tribute – it’s the Dead\, reborn.

SUMMARY:Andy Hull
DESCRIPTION:Andy Hull is a singer-songwriter\, guitarist\, and producer\, best known as the lead singer for the acclaimed Atlanta-based band\, Manchester Orchestra. Over the past two decades\, they’ve ascended beyond their Atlanta\, GA\, origins to national TV performances\, playing main stages at major festivals like Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza\, and reaching #1 at commercial AAA radio and the Alternative radio Top 15 (“The Gold” from 2017’s A Black Mile To The Surface). The sweeping and cinematic nature of the band’s consistently impressive catalog—inspired in part by Hull and producing partner Robert McDowell’s experience scoring movies\, including 2016’s Swiss Army Man and 2019’s The Death Of Dick Long—has continually been synced across film\, TV\, and commercial campaigns. The band’s critically acclaimed sixth album\, The Million Masks of God\, debuted in 2021 on various Billboard charts with first-week sales\, including at #1 on Alternative and Vinyl charts\, and at #3 on the Top Current Album Sales and Top Rock Albums charts. It featured the Top 2 AAA and Top 20 Alternative radio hit “Bed Head\,” which has been lauded as “an epic fit for sold-out venues” (Consequence). As a songwriter and producer\, Hull has worked with artists including Logic\, Paris Jackson\, Briston Maroney\, and Foxing. Beyond Manchester Orchestra\, Hull’s signature voice can also be heard across his solo project\, fan favorite\, Right Away\, Great Captain!\, and his collaboration with McDowell and Kevin Devine\, Bad Books.

SUMMARY:mekons
DESCRIPTION:Sonic adventurers\, punk rock fundamentalists\, exuberant luddites\, willing outcasts. \n“The mekons are the most revolutionary group in the history of rock ‘n’ roll” – wrote rock critic Lester Bangs \nThe genre-defying mekons formed in Leeds\, England in 1977. Born from the emerging British punk scene\, they progressed from art students with no musical skills to the prolific\, raucous progeny of Hank Williams. This current classic line-up has remained intact since the mid-1980s\, continuing to regularly tour and release new music through to now. Theirs is an improbable history – a surprising and influential embrace of folk and country music with occasional forays into the art world. They have always worked collaboratively and collectively with all work credited to the band\, never to individuals. Their mind-boggling output consistently blurs the lines between high art and low and has included exhibitions in the UK and US\, a deranged pirate musical recorded and staged with Kathy Acker\, an art performance with Vito Acconci\, and several books including the unique art catalog/unfinished novel Mekons United. “Revenge of the mekons”\, a documentary about the band received nationwide release in 2015 on Music Box Films. The mekons continue to make bold\, unpredictable music while staying true to the punk ethos. Their mind-boggling output consistently blurs the lines between high art and low and they remain one of the truly great live bands. \nThe band released their latest album “Horror” on Fire Records in early 2025. A dub album of Horror remixed by Grammy nominee Tony Maimone (Pere Ubu) will be released on Fire Records in the summer of 2026.

SUMMARY:Grahame Lesh & Daniel Donato
DESCRIPTION:There are a lot of musical influences and sources that Daniel Donato has drawn on during his career and that inform his latest album\, Horizon (Retrace Music)\, his second all-original album. But within those\, Donato has carved out a unique and individualized spot for himself\, one that speaks to the deep American music heritage that inspires him — and that he’s pushing towards the future with inspired\, intentional vigor. \nHe calls it Cosmic Country\, a moniker that’s both self-descriptive and a statement of purpose. It’s an organic rock band aesthetic with plenty of roadhouse twang; a showcase for Donato’s instrumental virtuosity and facility for melodically infectious songcraft. Bridging Nashville and the Great West\, Kentucky and mid-60s northern California\, tie-dye and plaid\, it’s a world of his own\, and a wide world of musical adventure at that.

SUMMARY:Jason Crosby & Jackie Greene
DESCRIPTION:Americana and roots singer-songwriter Jackie Greene is a true multi-instrumentalist\, equally adept at soulful piano ballads and blistering blues guitar. He served as lead guitarist for the Black Crowes and has shared the stage with artists including Govt Mule\, Joan Osborne\, Phil Lesh\, Bob Weir\, and many others. A prolific live performer\, Greene is a student of American musical traditions\, weaving blues\, folk\, and rock into a sound that feels both timeless and contemporary. \nMulti-instrumentalist Jason Crosby has spent decades as one of rock’s most sought-after sidemen\, performing with artists including Jackson Browne\, Phil Lesh\, Bob Weir\, and a wide range of artists. A master of keyboards\, violin\, and guitar\, Crosby’s solo work reveals him as a thoughtful songwriter with a refined\, expressive touch. \nTogether\, Greene and Crosby share a rare musical chemistry shaped by decades of collaboration and shared roots. Trading songs\, stories\, and instrumentation\, their performances are fluid and spontaneous—blending Americana\, rock\, and improvisation into an intimate\, one-of-a-kind live experience.

SUMMARY:Hurray for the Riff Raff
DESCRIPTION:Hurray for the Riff Raff\nwith Free Range\nAlynda Segarra is 36\, or a little less than halfway through the average American lifespan. In that comparatively brief time\,though\, the Hurray for the Riff Raff founder has been something of a modern Huck Finn\, an itinerant traveler whose adventures prompt art that reminds us there are always other ways to live. \nBorn in the Bronx and of Puerto Rican heritage\, Segarra was raised there by a blue-collar aunt and uncle\, as their father navigated Vietnam trauma and their mother neglected them to work for the likes of Rudy Giuliani. They were radicalized before they were a teenager\, baptized in the anti-war movement and galvanized in New York’s punk haunts and queerspaces. At 17\, Segarra split\, becoming the kid in a communal squat before shuttling to California\, where they began crisscrossing the country by hopping trains. They eventually found home—spiritual\, emotional\, physical—in New Orleans\, forming a hobo band and realizing that music was not only a way to share what they’d learned and seen but to learn and see more. Hurray for the Riff Raff steadily rose from house shows to a major label\, where Segarra became a pan-everything fixture of the modern folk movement. But that yoke became a burden\, prompting Segarra to make the probing and poignant electronic opus\, 2022’s Life on Earth\, their Nonesuch debut. Catch your breath\, OK? We’re back to 36\, back to now. \nDuring the last dozen years\, these manifold tales of Segarra’s voyages have shaped an oral folklore of sorts\, with the teenage vagabonding or subsequent trainhopping becoming what some may hear about Hurray for the Riff Raff before hearing the music itself. Segarra has dropped tidbits in songs\, too\, but they always worried that their experiences were too radical\, that memories of dumpster diving or riding through New Orleans with a dildo dangling on an antenna were toomuch. But on The Past Is Still Alive\, Segarra finally tells the story themselves\, speckling stirring reflections on love\, loss\, and the end or evolution of the United States with foundational scenes from their own life. “It felt like a trust fall\, or a letting goof this idea of proving something to the music industry—how I can be more digestible\, modifiable\, sellable\,” Segarra says. “Ifeel like I’m closer to what I actually have to share.” \nThere is\, for instance\, sex and communal musicmaking on an island of San Francisco trash during “Snake Plant (The Past Is Still Alive)\,” a charged attempt to reckon the erosion of our childhood innocence with a belief that a worthwhile future is still possible. Or there are the cops and the trains and the long walks down empty Nebraska highways to escape said cops during “Ogalla\,” the cathartic closer that tries to maintain the spirit of the past while actually surviving in the now. The Past Is Still Alive is the record of Segarra’s life so far\, not only because it chronicles the past to understand the present but also because it is the most singular and magnetic thing Hurray for the Riff Raff have yet made.

SUMMARY:Swamp Dogg
DESCRIPTION:Jerry Williams’—aka Swamp Dogg—first love was country music\, listening to it as a Navy family kid growing up in Portsmouth\, Virginia. “My granddaddy\, he just bought country records out the asshole\,” Swamp remembers. “Every Friday when he came home from the Navy yard he’d stop off and get his records\, like ‘Mule Train’ by Frankie Laine\, or ‘Riders in the Sky’ by Vaughn Monroe.” His first time performing on stage\, in fact\, was a country song at a talent show when he was six years old: “I did Red Foley’s version of ‘Peace in the Valley.’” \nWhile the 77 year-old Williams’ most enduring persona is the psychedelic soul superhero Swamp Dogg—a musical vigilante upholding truths both personal and political since 1970’s immortal album\, Total Destruction To Your Mind—he will tell anybody who will listen that he’s considered himself country this entire time. “If you notice I use a lot of horns\,” Swamp says. “But actually\, if you listen to my records before I start stacking shit on it\, I’m country. I sound country.”

SUMMARY:Son Little
DESCRIPTION:Son Little’s live show brings his music into a different kind of clarity- raw\, expressive\, and always evolving. Whether solo or with a full band\, he moves fluidly between deep grooves\, stripped-down intimacy\, and moments that feel completely improvised yet emotionally precise. It’s a performance style shaped by instinct and connection\, grounded in the richness of his voice and the depth of his songwriting. \nOver the past decade\, he’s cultivated a sound that draws from soul\, blues\, folk\, hip-hop\, and R&B – without ever settling fully into any one space. That spirit carries into the room when he performs\, offering something that feels both familiar and entirely his own. Audiences are pulled into songs built on texture and vulnerability\, delivered with equal parts grit and grace. It’s not just a setlist – it’s an experience. \nFollowing a run through the UK and Europe supporting Larkin Poe\, Son Little is back with a new wave of music and a fresh stretch of tour dates for winter and spring. SUMMARY:Deer Tick
DESCRIPTION:Deer Tick with Jobi Riccio \nThe ninth studio album from Deer Tick\, Coin-O-Matic casts a bright light on a little-known facet of the American mythos: the hidden histories of the band’s home state of Rhode Island\, where the everyday dramas of working-class families long collided with the menace of the mafia underworld. As they tapped into their infinite fascination with that strange duality\, singer/guitarist John McCauley\, guitarist/singer Ian O’Neil\, drummer/singer Dennis Ryan\, and bassist Christopher Ryan assembled a batch of songs exploring desperation\, grief\, redemption\, and resilience with both cinematic detail and lived-in emotionality. A sharp new turn from one of indie-rock’s most enduringly vital forces\, Coin-O-Matic arrives as a complicated love letter to a way of life slowly slipping from the collective memory. \nThe follow-up to Emotional Contracts (hailed by Uncut as one of 2023’s best albums)\, Coin-O-Matic takes its title from a cigarette-vending-machine company that served as the headquarters of Raymond Patriarca—a legendary mobster who ran one of the most ruthless crime families in U.S. history. “If you grew up in Rhode Island years ago\, you’d see all these mobsters on the news and then run into them at a restaurant on Federal Hill\,” says McCauley\, referring to Providence’s version of Little Italy. “They were criminals but also very colorful characters\, and I wanted the album to partly reflect a certain nostalgia for that kind of seediness.”

SUMMARY:Gang Of Four
DESCRIPTION:Dave Allen\, Hugo Burnham\, Andrew Gill\, and Jon King came together as Gang Of Four in 1976 in Leeds\, UK. They released the Damaged Goods EP on Fast Product in October 1978\, and on the heels of their first US tour in 1979\, Entertainment! was released in September that year by EMI Records in the UK and Europe\, and in the US by Warner Bros. Records in 1980. The album is considered a seminal work in the post-punk genre\, being ranked 273 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time in 2020\, 49th in their 100 Best Debut Albums of All Time in 2023\, and as the fifth best album of 1979 by the NME. The band won Mojo’s ‘Inspiration’ Award in 2005. \nAllen and Burnham left the Band in the mid ’80s\, but Gill and King continued\, on and off with other musicians\, until the original band reunited in 2005 for almost 2 years of touring and an album of re-recordings and additional mixes\, Return The Gift. In 2012\, King left\, assuming the band would cease\, but Gill conƟnued working with various session players until his death in 2020. \n2021 saw the release by Matador Records of the Grammy-nominated limited/numbered box set\, Gang Of Four: 77-81. It sold out in three months. In 2021\, Burnham and King drafted former G4-bassist Sara Lee (B-52s\, Ani DiFranco\, Indigo Girls\, Ryuichi Sakamoto) and guitarist David Pajo (Slint\, Stereolab\, Yeah Yeah Yeahs\, Interpol) in to start touring again\, with great success and renewed energy. The current band with bassist Gail Greenwood (Belly\, L7) and guitarist Ted Leo (TL & The Pharmacists\, Aimee Mann\, et al)\, recently completed the ‘Long Goodbye’ headlining tour of the US and Europe. Contrary to some assumptions\, Gang Of Four has not retired.
