June 26th to 30th, 2026
Ceramists have long refined wood-firing practices. Together, we will fire “Julia,” our new Train Kiln, to high temperatures and then cool it in reduction in search of iron red surfaces. This workshop will include demonstrations and discussions on kiln design and firing processes to maximize aesthetic options using wood. A unique opportunity to study with one of the principal innovators of “reduction cooling”.
All levels welcome!
