The Southside Historic District hosts the 7th annual Poughkeepsie PorchFest on Sunday, August 23rd from 12:00–6:30pm. This free, family-friendly event features musicians of various genres performing on over twenty-five porches in the Academy Street & Garfield Place Historic District. Enjoy jazz, spoken word, indie, pop, roots, and rock, as well as children’s activities and food vendors.
Visitors can walk through a neighborhood with historic homes and shaded streets. Maps and schedules will be posted throughout the area. Parking is available on side streets and municipal lots. The event runs rain or shine. Follow Poughkeepsie PorchFest on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
