Scene + Seen: Hudson Valley Sustainable Fashion Show 2024
As the year draws to en end, we’re excited to share another feature from our SCENE & SEEN series, highlighting an incredible Hudson Valley event brought to life by three visionary local women: Annie McCurdy, owner of the clothing brand So Vicki; Kaitlyn Murray, founder of Maison Après in Kingston, NY, fashion designer of La Vie Après L’amour, and a founding member of HVSFW; and Joanne Louis-Paul, HVSFW Chief Communications Officer.
The event, the second annual Hudson Valley Sustainable Fashion Week, was held at Rose Hill Farm in Red Hook, New York. The show attracted a diverse audience of artists, designers, educators, and fashion enthusiasts of all ages. Needless to say, it was a smashing success. Rose Hill Farm was filled with excitement before, during, and after the presentation of the season’s freshest sustainable looks, all handmade by the region’s most innovative creators. Attendees enjoyed watching models showcase the creations of ten local fashion designers as they sashayed down an “organic runway” within the farm’s orchard. The event began with a live performance by singer-songwriter Ginger Winn. To learn more about Ginger, check out our exclusive interview HERE, and be sure to catch one of her upcoming Hudson Valley and NYC shows.
HVSFW is just getting started, with more exciting events planned for 2025, so keep an eye out for future updates! Take a look at last year’s event HERE.
