Shire 935 Events and Taconic Ridge Farm are joining forces to produce an epic LGBTQ+ pride hoedown, A Lick & A Promise: Big Pride Hoedown 2026, this coming June in Hillsdale, N.
Get ready for an action-packed celebration of community, diversity, and country-western flair! So far, the event will include a mechanical bull, partner & line-dancing lessons with Copperhead Meg & Tori Tornado, drag performances by Cowboy Lou and the region’s newest creative collective Freak Show Rodeo. Also on tap will be Go-Go Ranch Dancers, queer country DJs, a big seated fire pit, a beer and wine saloon, and a delicious menu of options from Aloha Tacos in a fabulous rodeo setting upstate at Taconic Ridge Farm in Columbia County, NY.
100% of proceeds from the $5 mechanical bull rides will benefit the Queer & Trans Connection Network of Greene & Columbia Counties, working to connect queer and trans folks to resources while also hosting substance-free queer community events.
