What’s not to love about this iconic Hudson River property perfectly curated by proprietor, Lois Ballinger. First, there is the gorgeous boutique hotel with its elevated authentic style and luxurious cozy rooms, the restaurants with seasonal menus of delicious locally sourced food and craft cocktails, wine and beer. And, be sure to check out their event calendar for special events and live music. For those looking to book a private celebratory dinner, there is the Captain’s Table for parties of 10 or more. One visit and this will become one of your local favorites.

A small family owned and operated cafe, The Athens Rooster serves breakfast and lunch highlighted by a robust coffee and tea selection and an awesome array of house-baked pastries – well worth a visit. Their menu includes salads, sandwiches, pressed paninis and crafted pizza. And while your food is being prepared you can shop their pantry stocked filled with an ever changing selection of staples as well as a frozen section filled with delicious house-made entrees.

Seconds Restaurant – 7 2nd Street – @secondsrestaurant

Seconds Restaurant offers casual fine dining experience and is a popular choice for both locals and visitors alike. Their menu features American cuisine with a Mediterranean twist.There is also a full bar with a variety of wine and beer as well as outstanding craft cocktails. I love the cozy vibe and the great food!

I found my slice of heaven at Sleepy Hollow Lake Lodge.
