The Local’s 2026 Winter/Spring Lineup Brings A Global Soundtrack to the Hudson Valley
The Local is turning up the volume with nearly 30 must-see performances between February and June 2026, transforming their Hudson Valley stage into a global crossroads for sound, rhythm, and culture. Known for its fearless curation and deep love of live music, The Local continues its mission of bringing acclaimed, award-winning artists from around the world—and around the corner—straight to our community.
World-Class Music, Right Here in Saugerties
The season kicks off February 13 with the adventurous contemporary jazz trio of multi-instrumentalist Karen Mantler, followed by a Mardi Gras blowout on February 17 featuring New Orleans living legend Glen David Andrews. From there, the lineup travels far and wide: Indigenous Inuk Pop, Korean Mask Dance fused with folk-rock, Colombian cumbia, Ukrainian folk rituals, Moroccan Gnawa blues, and “the hottest Irish acoustic band on the planet” (Irish Voice), plus a rich mix of jazz, American roots, and indie music.
This isn’t just a concert series—it’s a season-long invitation to experience the world through music, without leaving the Hudson Valley.
SEASON’S HIGHLIGHTS
On February 20, critically acclaimed Canadian Indigenous Inuk artist Elisapie reimagines classic rock and pop songs from the 1960s–’90s, translated into her native Inuktitut—a powerful, deeply moving performance. March 12 brings the all-star jazz ensemble Artemis, straight from Blue Note Records, appearing the night before their Carnegie Hall performance. On April 24, internationally celebrated Palestinian-American oud virtuoso Simon Shaheen performs spellbinding Arab maqam, showcasing a master at the height of his artistry.
In May, former David Bowie guitarist Gerry Leonard—whose resume also includes Roger Waters and Suzanne Vega—presents his immersive ambient solo project Spooky Ghost on May 7. Then, on May 31, prepare to be amazed by maestro Paolo Angeli, performing on the Sardinian Guitar, an astonishing 18-string electro-acoustic instrument complete with hammers, pedals, and propellers.
The season culminates on June 13 with the triumphant return of the 20-piece NYC Ska Orchestra, bringing joyous, high-octane performances of classic ska and reggae from the golden eras of Jamaican music—just days before the summer solstice.
