Delicious Indulgence at the Inness Spa

Nestled on 220 bucolic acres with epic views of the Catskills, INNESS is a luxury resort with a nine-hole golf course, numerous trails for exploration, two inground pools, tennis courts, a shop and an exceptional farm-to-table restaurant. The one thing missing from the get-go has been their long-awaited spa. And now, we can also enjoy some luxurious pampering in this oasis.

THE INNESS SPA

Step into a world of rejuvenation at the INNESS Hotel and Resort’s brand-new spa, where luxury meets tranquility. Designed by Taavo Somer and Post Company, this 7,000-square-foot space draws inspiration from Hammam culture, promoting a serene environment for quiet contemplation.

INSIDE+OUT’s Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Terry Dagrosa, and Creative Content Director, Jenny Wonderling, recently took a field trip to experience the grand opening of the SPA at INNESS. If you haven’t yet experienced INNESS or the Spa, here’s a brief tour of their day spent at this Hudson Valley gem.

In celebration of the grand opening, upon entering the spa, guests were greeted with a glass of bubbly by the spa’s welcoming and passionate director, Sanali McFadden, and assistant director, Nicola Gregg-Galarza. Throughout the two-hour event, there were opportunities to experience mini-services, join a Global Dance Fusion taught by Nandini Austin, and experience a sound healing session with Jennifer Muir. Jenny particularly enjoyed the Express Refresher mini-facial with facialist, Selina Horner, which utilized the highly sought-after Biologique products and was non-extractive. And Terry was thrilled to find products from one of her favorite local makers, Lake & Skye. After enjoying mini treatments, guests walked through the extraordinary bathhouse, which features a heated tranquility pool, a spacious dry sauna, and a steam room filled with natural light and incredible views. An outdoor heated pool runs alongside the bathhouse, seductively inviting one to step outside.

The INNESS Spa features five treatment rooms where you can indulge in nourishing body treatments or revitalizing facials that utilize ISUN Skincare, UMM Skin, Biologique Recherche and Luzern products. You can enjoy a workout in the gym or take part in yoga, breathwork, or movement classes held in the dojo space. The spa is designed to transport you, encouraging you to slow down and prioritize self-care. Whether you are a local resident, a hotel guest, or attending an on-site wedding or retreat, the spa offers a unique level of relaxation, allowing you to pause, unwind, and reconnect with yourself.

THE RESTAURANT AT INNESS

After a rejuvenating experience at the spa, we joyfully strolled to the Restaurant at Inness, just a short walk away. There, we indulged in a leisurely, multi-course meal–a rare slow moment of sybaritism in the lives of two busy humans.

THE FOOD AT INNESS

The food at Inness is outstanding and absolutely worth the trip. The menu offers exquisite options, it was difficult to choose. However, earlier that day we saw a post in Instagram for Black Truffle Tagliatelle and that was the first thing we ordered. Executive Chef Gabriel Salazar and his crew spoiled us further by treating us to additional taste explorations, one dish better then the next. We left fully sated and inspired.

Here’s a sample of the deliciousness we experience, perfectly paired with a glass of wine.

• Kunik triple créme, za’atar, lavash crackers, whipped local honey
• Black truffle tagliatelle topped with trumpet mushrooms and parmigiano reggiano.
• Butterflied rainbow trout, charred lemon, yukon potatoes, dill
• Roasted delicata squash, colatura, stracciatella, chilis, pepitas
• and more!

Kudos to Chef Salazar and his team for an extraordinary culinary experience. Every bite, every flavor, every detail has us counting the days for our next meal at Inness.

STAY AT INNESS

In case an introduction is still in order, INNESS offers a 12-room farmhouse for large parties and 28 minimalist-chic cabins designed with a balance of Scandinavian minimalism and rustic Americana in mind– just spare enough, just welcoming enough to invite guests to unfurl and feel a sense of calm.
