Amanda Russo Rubman Presents “AR Forest of Feminine” During UPSTATE ART WEEKEND
Amanda Russo Rubman has created a series of sculptures in the Hudson Valley, New York, that aim to showcase the beauty and unity of women in the community. These fourteen sculptures are strategically placed throughout the Hudson Valley. They are designed to convey a sense of fragility and strength, featuring elements such as broken limbs, leaning mirrors, and floating canvas. The artist drew inspiration from the harmony and resilience found in coming together.
“We are nature, beauty, and strength. Women represent more than 50% of the United States, and our rights are shrinking. Created as my outcry, Forest of Feminine speaks to the beauty and balance of coming together” – Amanda Russo Rubman.

ABOUT AMANDA RUSSO RUBMAN
Amanda Russo Rubman is a Hudson Valley-based artist, designer, and lifelong learner. She has spent over 20 years developing identities for iconic and emerging brands. That time established her foundation of respect for the art of collaboration and talent in all forms. Today, she leads AR Studio, a home for an evolving collection of her artwork and collaborations celebrating New York-based artists and vintage objects.
As an artist, more than a medium, Amanda’s expression is experiential. Her need to create comes from a direct desire to capture or harness a mood. She is most drawn to sculpture regardless of material: clay, lucite, paper, wood, or found. Her work is typically layered in texture and technique, including photography, motion, painting, and antique materials.
Amanda’s work has been exhibited at Artport Kingston, WAAM, Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild, Woodstock School of Art, and Inness, and this is her third exhibition for Upstate Art Weekend. In 2024, through a juried review, Amanda was awarded the NYCxDESIGN Award for Art & Design Installation of ‘One,’ also on view during Upstate Art Weekend.
