Woodstock Infusions: Much More Than A Name

By inside + out | October 10, 2025

Woodstock Infusions is a nourishing little oasis just across from the Woodstock Playhouse at the edge of town. Kim Rice and Marc Baumslag, partners in both life and business, opened their doors in January of 2024, but the hub quickly outgrew its name. What began as Kim’s dream to offer nutrient IV infusions expanded once they started renovating the space. Inspired by their time spent in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, where daily yoga and smoothies had become their ritual, they soon decided to bring a similar multilayered blend of healing and nourishment home to their community in Woodstock. That budding shared vision has not only manifested and is thriving, but the duo is now expanding local access to wellness within their newest vision: Glenford Pilates Station. For now, at least, this second hub will stay more streamlined.

Let’s focus on the flagship space itself, which feels immediately inviting—wood floors, hand-hewn beams, plaster walls, and fresh flowers in simple vases. It’s modern but earthy, thoughtfully designed by Arden Ray and Eliza of Byrd Studios to be both grounding and tasteful. This welcoming, relaxed vibe also reflects the supportive culture that is blossoming there, extending well beyond first impressions and surface-level relationships. Even before you’ve claimed a mat or a smoothie, someone has greeted you with genuine enthusiasm about what’s happening within its walls– and the more subtle aim of rebalancing and fortifying guests from the inside out.

Again, the studio is much more than its name implies. Combining infrared-heated yoga and Pilates classes, IV and IM nutrient therapies, and a vibrant superfood café under one roof, you can drop in or stay for a mini-retreat for the better part of a day. And it’s the only place in Ulster County where you can enjoy hot Pilates or multiple heated yoga styles. Their goal, as Kim puts it, is simple: “We believe that true wellness is not just about treating symptoms or illnesses; it’s about taking a proactive approach to our health by nourishing our bodies, moving and sweating regularly, and staying hydrated.”

The class schedule here is surprisingly robust, especially for a small town, with lots to choose from. There’s Modo Yoga, which the hub’s co-owner, Marc, is certified in, and offers classes that weave postures, breath, and movement in a heated room—accessible to beginners but challenging for advanced practitioners. Hot Yin blends gentle, passive stretches with heat therapy to open the body and release long-held tension. At the same time, Hot Flow offers a more vigorous, moving meditation that builds strength and flexibility. For those seeking a softer approach, Gentle Flow focuses on slow, breath-led movement and longer holds, making it perfect for all levels, including pre- and post-natal students. In addition to all that and breathwork classes, Mat Pilates rounds it all out, strengthening the core, improving alignment, and helping reconnect mind and body. Yoga teacher training programs are also held on-site, and the space is available for group event bookings and bachelorette-friendly offerings.

Classes fill up quickly, so booking ahead is wise—although the studio continues to add extra sessions to meet demand. The experience is further elevated by a state-of-the-art heating and filtration system, which Marc will happily expound upon to interested listeners. “It’s double-filtered,” he explained proudly, “which takes care of mold, pollen, and all the rest. Plus, the heat pumps out enough surface temperature to smelt gold at 200 degrees. But because it’s infrared and not heated air, it heats the objects without feeling stifling. The CO2 monitor constantly checks the air quality, and this beautiful salt wall is great for the air and lungs. When it warms, the salt releases negative ions into the air, purifying the atmosphere.”

Marc also shares his excitement about the restorative yoga he loves to teach, as well as the upcoming Woodstock Infusions retreat in January in Nosara, Costa Rica, which he and Kim are hosting. It brings together breathwork and yoga with organic, locally grown food, glamping, and casita lodgings, along with ziplining and swimming in a pool or nearby ocean. And of course, there are optional infusions to boot! But it’s almost sold out, so reach out asap to grab one of the (literal) last spots.

If you’re passing through Woodstock, come in for some delicious, nourishing fare. Or wait until after you’ve worked up a sweat to enjoy an organic smoothie, a nourishing bowl, a superfood latte, and more. David Fletcher, owner of Upstate Bowls, is partnering with the Baumslags on this arm of the business. You might just find him behind the bar, passionately discussing ideas for the new seasonal menu and his homemade milks. And don’t forget to take a few calm moments overlooking the sweet creek that runs behind the establishment. This little oasis is perfect for savoring your smoothie or bowl in the warmer months, journaling, catching up with a friend, or simply taking a moment to breathe.

IV Therapy: A Modern Boost

Kim’s background as a nurse practitioner brings a clinical depth balanced with deep care and presence to the infusion side of the business. With extensive experience behind her, she has worked in healthcare for over two decades and continues to consult in the Hudson Valley, but here she gets to focus on proactive wellness. IV therapy bypasses the gut, delivering vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants directly into the bloodstream. Choose from a menu of infusions that support hydration, boost immunity, improve recovery, and help alleviate symptoms ranging from inflammation and fatigue to brain fog and thyroid imbalances.

“We believe that true wellness is not just about treating symptoms or illnesses; it’s about taking a proactive approach to our health by nourishing our bodies, moving and sweating regularly, and staying hydrated.”

“It can even offer anti-aging benefits,” Kim explains. “And some people feel the shift almost immediately—like the woman who came in after food poisoning. She got an infusion and literally danced her way out of here.” Popular drips include Be Strong, Be Radiant, Be Revitalized (the classic Myers’ Cocktail), Be Forever Young (NAD+), and Be Cleansed, as well as a range of quick intramuscular shots for energy, immunity, and more. Most people come in monthly for a drip, or weekly for shots, though frequency depends on individual needs.

Rooted Here, Branching Out

For Kim, opening Woodstock Infusions has been just as much about place as it is about passion. Born and raised here, she grew up swimming in the Mill Stream and hiking Overlook Mountain. It feels fitting that she’s brought this vision of health and vitality back to the community that shaped her.

Whether you drop in for a class, an infusion, or just a smoothie by the creek, Woodstock Infusions offers a place that invites you to slow down and rebalance. Their tagline says it all—“Let’s Get Nourished.”

Kim and Marc are just getting started. This October, they’ll open Glenford Pilates Station, a boutique reformer studio housed in a beautifully restored 1930s service station. With just six reformers per class, expect intimate, focused sessions that build strength and confidence one movement at a time.

See you on the mat soon– or by the stream! Namaste.
