Applehead Recording & Production

Applehead Recording & Production is a world-class, residential recording facility situated on a 17-acre farm, 1.5 miles east of the center of Woodstock, NY.

Boasting both classic and modern gear, beautiful architecture, outstanding acoustics… and a big, accurate and comfortable control room, this is a one-of-a-kind place to make music.

The studio’s 700 square foot Michael Blackmer-designed control room is (de)coupled with a gorgeous 30,000 cubic foot timber frame & stone “live” room (30′ wide x 40′ long x 32′ high). Various isolated spaces are both tied together and acoustically diverse. Our console is a custom 32-input discrete Neve desk: “The Dangerous Neve”, with an API sidecar. The studio is available 24/7 and can also host unique events with live audiences.

Applehead has played host to a wide variety of artists drawn by our vast collection of modern and vintage recording equipment, our efficient, serene and creative environment, and easy access to New York City.
