10 Things to Know About Photographer Cicero deGuzman Jr.

Today we learn ten things about Cicero from his most treasured possession to his greatest extravagance and his greatest fear. Let’s get personal with Cicero!

What is your most treasured possession?
It was a 1967 Harley-Davidson motorcycle that I built over 5 years and rode for 10. I sold it recently and acknowledge that mistake every day.

What or who is the greatest love of your life?
I’d love to give you a more entertaining answer, but my love for my wife Katie, my son Rush, and my daughter Malala surpasses anything else I could imagine.

When and where were you the happiest?
My son lives out of state, so during the rare moments when we’re all able to be together – My wife, my daughter, my son, and I – that’s the best.

What is your greatest fear?
Running out of time.

What is your greatest extravagance?
Old motorcycles.

What do you most value in your friends?
Showing up. Candor. Trust.

Which talent would you most like to have?
There are so many, but I’m really in awe of builders. Architects. Contractors. Woodworkers, Mechanics, Metal fabricators. Yeah, I’d like the talent of being able to build anything out of metal.

Which living person do you most admire?
No one in particular comes to mind, but lately, I’ve been watching YouTube videos about people who are living off the grid. Farm life, Van life. That sort of thing. Living an adventurous life self-sufficiently has a lot of fantasy appeal to me right now.

What is joy for you?
Family. Motorcycles. Adventure. If you can wrap those all together, man, that’s it.

If you could have one superpower what would it be?
I just wanna fly.
